Data Storytelling Resources

From our social media:

Data Storytelling isn't just about creating engaging visuals or sharing experiences– it's about amplifying voices and promoting deeper understanding. Today we provide two examples/resources of data visualization and data storytelling that can help us understand data coming from Palestine and the headlines we're seeing across the globe.

For more information about the events unfolding right now in Israel & Palestine, the
ACLED Fact Sheet can be very helpful in trying to understand the timeline of recent events, and is being updated as more information is gathered.

Visualizing Palestine, a project of Visualizing Impact, is an example of the power of data visualizations and the role of intentionality and creativity in disseminating information in a way that aligns with liberation and data equity as we discussed last week in the article "Humanizing or Weaponizing Data - Treating People as Subject or Objects, Get Your Data Right". This interview with project leaders gives a glimpse into the strategy behind these data visualizations, showing how invaluable these resources are as part of the movement for a free Palestine.
